"Before I was treated it was like I had 10 voices in my head talking to me at once. On medication, there are 5 of them, they are quieter, in fact they often wait until I talk to them first"

• The voices are a little quieter in my head
• I'm noticing that I can find things a bit quicker than usual / instant memory of where I placed things
• I'm feeling less depressed than usual, I do think this could be down to receiving the diagnoses and finally understanding why I am the way I am and being less cruel on myself.
• I can really tell when the tablets are wearing off because suddenly my head is full and won't shut up , this is around bed time and partly why I'm struggling to get to sleep despite doing a bedtime routine and relaxation methods!
"Being able to concentrate is very strange - who knew? I've been to a couple of museums & it's good to be able to really, really look at artefacts. I caught a bus in good time yesterday & made it to school to collect child on time - another behaviour change for me"
"Since being diagnosed and treated. I am a much better parent to my son who is 5 - when he is squirming and standing on his head while I'm trying to read to him before bed I just accept it - we will get him treated in due course...."
"I never had a hierarchy of priorities before… exams have gone better than expected”
Comment from his sister: "what happened to bro? His room is tidy and he cleaned the bathroom, he has never cleaned the bathroom, ever"
"…… IT”S WORKING - HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"When I’m off medication it is like I have a bunch of toddlers in my head - with one trying to jump off the balcony and two of them fighting. On medication, they settle down and play with their toys and don't try to murder each other"
"She did really well in her A Levels and couldn't have done it without proper medical care and medication. So thank you. It's life changing."
