We are the first private clinic in the UK setup as a specialist team in which GPs with special training in neurodiversity work alongside psychiatrists to provide comprehensive neurodiversity services to all ages. This allows us to provide a more holistic service.
We perform cardiovascular risk assessment in house and provide more detailed analysis of the impact of neurodivergent diagnoses and we have expertise in the physical co-morbidities which are associated with neurodiverse conditions.
We undertake ADHD assessments in a two stage process: a Screening Consultation and then an Assessment Consultation
This consultation fulfils many purposes:
To assess the likelihood of ADHD and Autism
To screen for alternative diagnoses and specific learning differences
To check understanding and expectations
To consider medical conditions which may impact on choice of treatment
To ensure all necessary preparations are made before formal assessments are undertaken. This can include a QB check (additional £300)
The screening consultation takes 30mins and is best conducted in person, although video is an alternative, by arrangement.
If blood tests and ECG are required these will generate additional cost.
This is a structured consultation which takes 90-120 minutes.
This is a combination of an ADHD structured assessment and additional elements to establish the possibility of Autism.
This combined assessment may take place over several different appointments, involve two clinicians and will require input from family members or friends.
All our assessments are discussed in our weekly team meeting.
Many diagnoses are straightforward.
Sometimes it is necessary to seek further information or clarification before a diagnostic assessment report can be finalised.
